Also competing in the invite are: Colorado State University, Air Force, Univeristy of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Metro State, as well as UW Alumni.
Last Time Out
The University of Northern Colorado women's cross country team completed its 2005 season by finishing eighth at the Division I Independent Championships, held Oct. 29 at West Guth Park and hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
New Program
This is the first year of competition for the men's team after the program became dormant following the 1983 season.
With Northern Colorado officially becoming a member of the Big Sky Conference on July 1, the Department of Athletics had to add each men's cross country and men's and women's indoor track and field as programs.
Next Up
Both teams will travel to Lincoln, Neb. Saturday, Sept. 16 for the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational, hosted by the Unversity of Nebraska. Start time is 9 a.m.
