GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado women's volleyball team took a break from studying for finals to help complete a Habitat for Humanity house in time for Christmas.

"It was great to see how appreciative the families are who will be receiving a new house before Christmas," head coach Lyndsey Benson said.

The women's volleyball team spent their Saturday helping with the Habitat for Humanity houses in Greeley.

The team helped to paint and landscape the house as it was prepared for inspection just in time for a holiday move in.

Helping build this house "will give our team a new perspective when they go back home for the holidays, something we often take for granted."

This isn't the first time the volleyball team has worked in the community this year. The team also participated in the 24th Annual 9Cares Colorado Shares Holiday Drive on Saturday Nov., 11. The drive raised 169 tons of food for needy families throughout Colorado.
