BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The University of Northern Colorado women's volleyball team capped an undefeated day at the Courtyard by Marriott LIU Classic, and needed only an hour to do so, in sweeping its second match of the day, topping Iona College 3-0 by scores of 30-25, 30-16 and 30-19 on Friday at The Schwartz Center.
After sweeping Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the morning, the Bears (6-8) returned to the court in the afternoon and got 12 kills from senior Amanda Wiggins and 11 kills from junior Lizzy Rhoads in breezing past Iona (3-12) in straight sets.
