Volleyball looks to take care of business on the road

Week 10: Northern Colorado at Idaho State, Weber State
Northern Colorado notes | Idaho State notes | Weber State notes | Big Sky Conference notes

SOME STORY LINES:

  • Northern Colorado, coming off one of its best matches of the season last Saturday, have remaining on its schedule four conference road games to just three conference home games. Those roadies start Friday in Pocatello, Idaho.
  • The Bears will have to be focused this week. Idaho State and Weber State have struggled a bit this season, but looming down the road for NC are key matches against Montana, Portland State and Eastern Washington.
  • NC senior Taylor Smith started her year on fire in late August and early September before cooling a bit. She’s out of her funk now, though, hitting a team-leading .422 in Northern Colorado’s last three matches. Can she keep it up?
  • The Bears have risen in the NCAA volleyball RPI rankings every week the report has come out, and now they are tops in the Big Sky conference. Any letdowns against the Bengals and Wildcats, though, will stunt that momentum.
