High School: Her high school did not sponsor swimming & diving during the year, but was able to represent Burlington Central at sectionals and state after training with a club team... Won her high school sectionals in the 100 butterfly in 2009 and finished second in the 100 backstroke... At the state meet, finished 15th in the 100 fly... Was a member of the National Honor Society and a four-year member of the honor roll... Also awarded the Scholastic Award of Excellence all four years.

Personal: The middle of three children of Robert and Anne VanOost with an older sister, Alex and a younger sister, Kristin... Born May 17, 1992 in Barrington, Ill... Hopes to major in business at Northern Colorado.
