Martinez, Salminen named to NSCAA's All-Pacific squad
A historic Northern Colorado soccer season just got a little bit better, after the National Soccer Coaches of America (NSCAA) announced the 2011 All-Pacific Region team. Two Northern Colorado seniors, Aundreaha Martinez and Kirstin Salminen were named to the All-Pacific team, which includes players from the Pac-12, Mountain West and Big Sky Conferences.

Soccer begins camp with expectations
The Northern Colorado women’s soccer program kicked off its camp with high hopes for the coming season. The Bears finished last year with a 10-6-3 record, their best since joining the Big Sky in 2006. The team’s 3-2-2 Big Sky mark was good for a fourth place finish in the conference and the school’s second ever qualification for the Big Sky Tournament. The Bears eventually fell to Northern Arizona in the semifinals.
