Marcie Johnson named player of the week for effort against Lumberjacks
OGDEN, Utah -- Northern Colorado soccer was recognized this week by the Big Sky Conference with senior Marcie Johnson being named the offensive player of the week on Monday.
Johnson had a career night on Friday having a hand in three of the Bear's four goals in the shutout. Johnson tallied her second unassisted goal of the night on a breakaway from 10 yards out putting the final score at 4-0. The win also prevented Northern Arizona from claiming the Big Sky regular season title.
Also honored this week was Idaho State defender Christina Beseris and Eastern Washington goalkeeper Lisa Dimak, both named co-defensive players of the week.
