UNC To Tangle With Fort Hays State Tonight:
The UNC wrestling squad will travel to Wray, Colo., to take on Fort Hays State tonight in the Bart Brown/Scott Smith Memorial Match. The match will take place at Wray High School and begin at 7 p.m.

Bears Win Streak Snapped:
Nebraska-Omaha brought the Bears' five-match win streak to a halt on Saturday. The 4th-ranked Mavericks rallied to win the dual's final four matches and claim a 19-18 triumph over the Bears. It was UNO's 11th straight dual win over UNC dating back to the 1991-92 season.

Maughan Closes In On Victory No. 100:
UNC head coach Jack Maughan is closing in on his 100th career victory. Maughan has tallied 96 career wins in his 16 years as the Bears' head coach.

Olson Climbs UNC All-Time Win Chart:
UNC senior Brody Olson (157 lbs.) earned his 97th career win on Saturday with a 20-9 major decision win over Nebraska-Omaha's Dirk Desmond. Olson is 25-9 this season and has a career record of 97-51. Olson has compiled the fourth-most wins in school history and now has his sights set on Scott Gates. Gates tallied 98 wins from 1988-92.

Bears Ranked 13th In National Poll:
The UNC wrestling squad jumped three spots in the latest NCAA Division II Coaches' Poll. The Bears began the season ranked No. 13 in the nation and have now regained that spot. Nebraska-Kearney is the No. 1 team and they are followed by Central Oklahoma, North Dakota State, Nebraska-Omaha and Pittsburgh-Johnstown. The North Central Conference has six of the top 13 schools in the nation.

Bears In The Individual Rankings:
Junior Jason McMillan is the top-rated UNC wrestler in the latest Division II rankings. McMillan is ranked third at 197 lbs. and has a record of 4-1 this season. Senior Brody Olson is ranked No. 4 at 157 pounds. Junior Jared Spry, who has missed the past four weeks because of injury is still ranked No. 7 at 149 pounds.

Bears Claim Colorado Collegiates Team Title:
The Bears won the team title at the Colorado Collegiates on Jan. 25. UNC edged out second-place Air Force to win the team championship. It is the fifth time UNC has won the Colorado Collegiates. The Bears have won the team title in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1998 and 2003.

Next Week:
The UNC wrestling squad will be off until the North Central Conference championships on March 2 in Fargo, N.D. The match will also serve as the Bears' national qualifier for the NCAA Championships that will be held on March 14-15 in Wheeling, W.Va.
