Mustari Named Best Colorado Boy's High School Athlete

DENVER, Colo. - University of Northern Colorado freshman wrestler Tony Mustari was named the 2005 boy's High School Athlete of the Year on Tuesday by the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
Mustari, who is redshirting this season, finished his high school career at Greeley Central last February with a 43-0 record, including 40 consecutive matches of not being scored upon. He was a three-time Colorado state champion and had a career record of 161-11.
He also became the first-ever wrestler in Colorado to win two national championships, as he won the 112-pound freestyle title at the 2005 Cadet and Junior Nationals in Fargo, N.D. Mustari outscored competitors 83-0 in the tournament.
Mustari will be honored at the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame banquet in April at the Denver Marriott City Center.
