Hart, McMillan Shine on Day One of 23rd Annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The University of Northern Colorado wrestling squad advanced two participants into day two of the 23rd annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Friday.

Senior Jason McMillan went 3-1 in the heavyweight division to advance to day two. Redshirt freshman Shawn Hart also went 3-1 in the 174-pound weight class to move into Saturday's action.

"That's not bad for McMillan considering he has been practicing for all of four days," Northern Colorado head coach Jack Maughan said. "A majority of our success was due to the draws we received. A lot of our success can be drawn from our people with experience and it showed through with Hart and McMillan. Our younger guys were initiated into a higher level of competition."

McMillan joined the wrestling team after competing for the Bears' football team this past fall.
