AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Shawn Vincent and Reece Hopkin lost their opening matches in the second day of competition at the 2007 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, ending the University of Northern Colorado team's 2006-07 season.

Vincent concluded his tournament with a 9-3 loss to Arizona State's Greg Gifford in his first match on Friday, finishing his first trip to the Championships 1-2 with the Bears' lone first round win.

Also wrestling on Friday was Hopkin, who bowed out in the morning after a 9-1 loss to No. 12 seed Wade Sauer of Cal State Fullerton.

As a team, the Bears are 55th in the field.
