Stafford, Olson earn All-America Honors

Sophomore Ronnie Stafford and junior Brody Olson finished their seasons strong, and both finished the season on a winning note. Stafford placed third in the nation, and Olson went on to battle for fifth in the nation.

At 141 pounds, Stafford won his first two matches of the weekend, but he lost his third to drop into the consolation bracket. He came back to defeat Brad Russell of Wisconsin Parkside 9-3 in the consolation semi-finals. Next he dropped Nebraska, Omaha's Roderick Ratcliff 2-1 in double overtime to place third in the nation.

At 157 pounds, Olson won his first match of the weekend, but he dropped to the consolation round after the second round. Olson won his next match 6-4 over Chadron State's Jason Schommer. He then was pinned in his next round at 6:40 by Fort Hays State's Peter Koster. Olson went on to defeat Cory Beckman of Minnesota State, Mankato 12-4 for seventh place.
