No. 24 Wyoming Trips UNC, 30-13

LARAMIE, Wyo --The University of Northern Colorado wrestling squad ran into its toughest team in the schedule in 2003 on Friday night and the No. 24-ranked Wyoming Cowboys scored a 30-13 dual win over the Bears.

The night started very promising for the Bears as 141-pounder Kyle LeValley was awarded a forfeit win to put UNC on top 6-0. Then the Bears' 149-pounder Dustin Uhland notched an 8-7 win over Wyoming's Patrick Shuler to put UNC in the lead at 9-0.

However, Wyoming would run off seven straight wins to turn the 9-0 deficit into a 30-9 advantage going into the final match of the evening.

UNC's Kyle Swenson ended the match in style with a 11-3 win over the Cowboys' Tyson Shatto.

The Bears dropped to 2-6 on the season after the dual setback. UNC will attempt to get back to its winning ways on Sunday when they host the Air Force Academy at 4 p.m. in Butler-Hancock Hall.
