Eric Spry begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Northern Colorado wrestling program.

Spry wrestled for the Bears the past two seasons and earned his undergraduate degree in human therapy.

Spry wrestled as a prep at Blackwell High School in Oklahoma. He then attended the University of Central Oklahoma and LaBette Community College in Kansas before transferring to UNC in 2000.

Spry was a three-sport star in high school at Blackwell. Spry was a standout in wrestling, football and baseball. He had a career prep record of 110-9 in wrestling.
