Strange earns pair of POW awards
Northern Colorado junior guard D'shara Strange earned the season's first Big Sky Conference Player of the Week award as well as College Sports Madness' Big Sky Player of the Week after helping lead the Bears to a 68-44 victory over Air Force.
Strange scored 20 points, had seven rebounds, six steals and two blocked shots in the game. She also shot .615 from the field.
She shared the Big Sky award with Kalli Durham from Montana State, which helped lead the Bobcats to a win over the Bears' Tuesday opponent, Colorado State.
This is the first time she's been named Big Sky Player of the Week in her career and the second time she's been honored by College Sports Madness in a weekly award.
