White adds one more standout to superior recruiting class
GREEELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Women's Basketball head coach Jaime White Thursday announced the signing of Jamie Derrieux to a National Letter of Intent. Derrieux joins the fall signing class of Kyleigh Hiser, Rebecca Howell and Bay'lee Purdy.
The quartet of future Bears have all received extensive awards this season and is White's most highly decorated recruiting class since she arrived on the Northern Colorado campus.

Jamie Derrieux, Guard, 5-10, Grand Junction, Colo. (Grand Junction HS) Derrieux was named the to the Denver Post 5A First-Team All-State team just yesterday after averaging 21.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 3.2 steals per game for the Tigers. She is also a three-sport athlete, earning four letters in track & field – competing in the hurdles and on relays – and two letters as a middle blocker on the volleyball team. She also was named the 2012 Southwestern League Player of the Year and is a two-time all-conference selection. She holds four school records and is also serving as the Student Body Co-President. She has been a member of student council all four years and is a member of the National Honor Society. Derrieux helped lead the Tigers to back-to-back SWL Championships and the team advanced to the Great Eight in her junior season and the round of 16 as a senior, ending with a 19-5 overall record. |
In the fall signing period, White signed Hiser, Howell and Purdy. Below is an update of their accomplishments since November.
