season, averaging 2.96 kills and 3.35 digs per game... Led the team
with 314 kills and was one of four student-athletes to tally over
20 aces on the year (22)... Was also second on the team with 355
digs... Named an honorable mention Big Sky All-Conference
selection... Was one of two players on the team, and the only
non-libero, to record 20 digs in a match, doing so at Northern
Arizona on Oct. 21.
2005: Played in 15 matches and 28 games during
her sophomore season coming off the bench for the Bears... Tallied
a then-career-high seven kills and hit .417 in a three-game sweep
over North Dakota State on Oct. 8.
2004: Saw action in three matches and three
games during the year... Notched a kill each against Montana and
North Dakota State and had two digs against South Dakota State.
2003: Redshirted.
Karval: Was a four-year letterwinner, playing
for her father, Dennis... Two-time All-State selection as a junior
and senior... All-High Plaing League all four years... Played in
CHSAA All-State match as a senior... Also played basketball and
competed in track & field... A two-time All-State Honorable
Mention and two-time All-Conference pick in basketball... Four-time
state qualifier in track & field... Holds the school record in
the high jump... Member of the National Honor Society and was the
class valedictorian.
Personal: One of two children of Dennis and
Kathy Stone with a younger brother Adam... Father Dennis played
basketball from 1971-74 at Northern Colorado, while uncle Don
played from 1968-71 and uncle Dave played football from 1974-77...
