Paul Richardson

Paul Richardson begins his second season as the volunteer assistant coach with the Bears. Richardson spent three seasons with the Roosevelt High School program, including head coach (2005), assistant coach (2004) and junior varsity coach (2003). Richardson also served as the head coach of the Bongo Volleyball Club (2001-04) and at Eaton Middle School (2001). He played college club volleyball at the Illinois from 1995-98. His squads claimed a pair of Big Ten Championships (1998, 1999) and placed third at the NIRSA National Championships in 1998. From 1995-99 Richardson worked with the Illinois women's club team, serving as an assistant coach from 1995-96 and head coach from 1997-99. They also won a pair of Big Ten Championships (1998, 1999) and placed third at the NIRSA Championships in 1999. He also served as the head club coach at Colorado State from 1999-2000. Richardson attended high school in Naperville, Ill., and graduated with a degree in teaching of mathematics from Illinois in 1999.
