Cristin Green
Former University of Northern Colorado softball player Cristin
(Dumler) Green begins her first season as assistant coach for the
Bears.
Green was a pitcher for the Bears team in 2002 and 2003,
compiling a 2.79 earned run average in 38 appearances on the mound.
As a junior in 2002, she had the lowest ERA on the team and tallied
a pair of shutouts. As a senior she had 11 complete games (21 for
her career) and one shutout. Green struck out 112 batters in her
two seasons in the circle.
Prior to playing at Northern Colorado, Green spent two seasons
at Colby Community College in Colby, Kan. At Colby CC, she was
named All-Jayhawk Conference twice as a pitcher and was also a
first-team all-region selection. She holds the school record for
highest winning percentage by a pitcher.
She played high school softball at Platte Valley High School
where she was a two-time All-Weld County selection. Green was a
four-time all-conference selection and recorded a school record 559
career strikeouts. She named to the all-state team as a junior and
senior.
Green won two state championships with her summer ASA team and
placed in several national tournaments.
Green received her degree in elementary education with an
emphasis in speech communication from Northern Colorado in 2004.
She and her husband, Jon, live in Greeley.
