Bree Edwards

Former UCLA standout Bree Edwards begins her first season on the Northern Colorado women's soccer staff in 2005.
Edwards was a prep star at Newport High in Bellevue, Wash. where she earned Parade High School All-American honors in 1996. She became the first Parade All-American to attend UCLA, playing for the Bruins from 1996-99. In four years in Westwood, Edwards was part of teams that compiled a 62-18-2 overall record (including 38-8-1 in her last two seasons) and 25-7 mark in Pac-10 play. UCLA, who were the Pac-10 champions in each 1997 and 1998, qualified for three NCAA Tournaments during her playing career, advancing to the Sweet 16 in 1998 and 1999 and to the Elite 8 in 1997.
As a midfielder, Edwards played in 72 total matches, starting 50, and registered one goal, seven assists and nine total points while taking 22 total shots. She completed her degree in sociology in 2000.
Following graduation, Edwards continued her playing career with the Hibernian Caledonian Saints, an amateur club team located in Seattle, Wash. While with the Saints, Edwards' teams won three Pacific Coast League championships, a pair of regional titles and were Amateur National Champions in 2003.
Edwards has coached with the Eastside U-11 club team (2002-03) as well as the Emerald City U-14 and U-15 club team (2004-05). She has also been a camp instructor at UCLA, Washington and Seattle University.
Edwards, who will assist with all aspects of the program, is currently working on a master's degree in sports administration at Northern Colorado.
