Last Time Out
Northern Colorado finished in a tie for 15th place overall at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, which was hosted by the University of Denver and held at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club last Monday and Tuesday.

The five Bears golfers who competed were very even, as four strokes separated the top finisher (Jenny Henderson) from the last finishers (Regina Rodriguez and Kelley Newton). Henderson had a round of 76 on Tuesday to finish at +18 for the two-day event, which put her in 50th place overall. Sophomore Heather Daviner was one stroke back in 55th place, tied with teammate and fellow sophomore Shayna Godfrey. Godfrey had the team-low round of the day with an even-par 72 on Tuesday. Rodriguez and Newton both finished at +22, which placed them 64th overall.

BYU's Rachel Newren broke a three-way tie after day one to win individual medalist honors with a three-round score of 206 (-10). She was victorious by three strokes.

Denver ran away with the team title on its home course, carding a total of -15, 18 strokes ahead of second place BYU. BYU finished 24 strokes better than third place Missouri. Northern Colorado (+71) finished in a tie with Ball State, and was three strokes behind fellow Big Sky foe Northern Arizona.
