Northern Colorado's Jenny Henderson and Eastern Washington's Chloe Nelson have been selected the Co-Big Sky Conference Golfers of the Week after solid performances during the opening tournaments of the fall season.

Henderson, a senior from Fargo, N.D., tied for 14th at the Chip-N Club Invitational in Eagle, Neb., on Sept. 10-11. Henderson fired a first-round 77, and followed with an even-par 71 in the second round. She finished with an 80 for a 54-hole total of 228. She helped Northern Colorado to an eighth-place finish in the 19-team tournament. The Bears shot rounds of 321, 307 and 313 for a 941. This is Henderson's second Golfer of the Week honor.

Nelson, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., tied for 29th at the Colorado State Ptarmigan Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. Nelson finished with a nine-over-par 225. She shot rounds of 75, 73 and 77. This is Nelson's fourth Golfer of the Week award. Nelson helped Eastern Washington to a 13th-place finish in the 20-team tournament.  The Eagles shot rounds of 308, 309 and 308 for a 925.

The Northern Colorado women's golf team is back in action Sept. 16-18 at the Ron Moore Invitational in Denver.
