Women Finish 12th of 20 teams at Bobcat Classic![]() Complete Final Results in PDF Format
March 15, 2007 GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Northern Colorado women's golf team got its best round of the tournament on Wednesday, when Kelly Newton fired a two-over 74 to help the Bears lock up 12th place at the Montana State University Bobcat Classic, held at the Palm Valley Golf Course. As a team, the Bears had a third-round total of 321 strokes, giving them 959 for the tournament. Sacramento State won the event with a total of 915. Jenny Henderson had the Bears' second-best round, shooting an 81 to finish at 242, one stroke behind teammate Regina Rodriguez, who took an 83 on Wednesday, as did Matti Nelson, who finished at 260. Heather Daviner finished with a round of 85 for a total of 248. Northern Colorado will now head to the UC-Irvine Anteater Invitational at Dove Canyon Country Club, starting March 26.
