"Rodriguez, Godfrey Lead Bears Women's Golf To Eighth" (March 2, 2008)

SEDONA, Ariz. -- Northern Colorado senior Gina Rodriguez made a strong individual push on the second day of the Red Rocks Invitational women's golf tournament in Sedona, Ariz. Her 7-over-par 79 gave her a 160 two-day total, which left her in a three-way tie for 17th at the tournament hosted by Northern Arizona University. Northern Colorado finished eighth as a team (656), behind California State University-Northridge (655).

OGDEN, Utah -- In a vote by the Big Sky Conference head women's golf coaches, the University of Northern Colorado team was picked to finish third in its first season of eligibility. Eastern Washington snagged eight of the nine first-place votes for 64 points, while Northern Arizona earned the final nod and 54 points for second place. The Bears were third with 51 points.
