MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Junior Jenny Henderson fired a collegiate-low round of 69 (-3) during Tuesday's final round of the Troy Intercollegiate, hosted by Troy University and held at the Arrowhead Country Club, to help the University of Northern Colorado women's golf team finish fifth overall at the event.

Henderson, whose previous low round was a 74 twice during her sophomore year, fired the lowest round by a Northern Colorado golfer since Emily Russell fired a 69 at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in Sept. 2003. Henderson, who was 20th after a round of 76 on Monday, finished just three strokes behind individual medalist Elin Andersson of South Alabama (-2).

The finish continued a hot trend for the junior, who finished third in the team's last outing, at the UMKC Kenneth Smith Classic.

As a team Northern Colorado combined to fire a 298 (+10) on Tuesday, the lowest round by the team since the team's move to Division I (eclipsing a round of 301 at the 2005 Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic). The Bears finished in a tie for fifth overall, 22 strokes behind champion South Alabama.

Northern Colorado junior Regina Rodriguez had a final round of 73 (+1) and finished at +4 for the event, which was good enough for 10th place. Senior Kelley Newton was 37th (+13) while Heather Daviner was 51st (+17) and Matti Nelson was 55th (+18).

The event wrapped up the Bears fall schedule of events. Northern Colorado is off until the spring season which will begin in March.
