The Troy Invitational concludes the women's golf fall tournament season. The Bears end the season as the second ranked golf team in the Big Sky Conference and ranked among the top 150 in the nation. "It is a great accomplishment for us to be ranked second in the Big Sky Conference and in the top 150," said head coach Brandon White. "There are some great teams at the top of our conference and it's fun to prove we are competitive with all of them. It really shows how hard the team has worked over the past year and a half to continue to improve and gain confidence to compete at the Division I level." Henderson is also ranked among the top five Big Sky golfers and White is extremely proud of her accomplishments this season. "Jenny has had a great start to her senior year. She has really stepped up to a new level this year and has proven to be one of the best players in the conference. She hasn't finished out of the top 35 in a tournament this year and has the victory at the Kenneth Smith Invitational. She should be one of the favorites at the conference championship in April." The women's golf team resumes play on March 1 at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz. |
