Women's Golf Finishes 17th At Ron Moore

Highlands Ranch, COLO. - The University of Northern Colorado women's golf team concluded play at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate in 17th place, shooting a three-round total of 951. Host, Denver, won the tournament with an 886 total.

 

Jenny Henderson led the Bears for the second-straight tournament, shooting a 14-over par 230 (74-76-80) to tie for 36th place. Both Katie Avery (79-86-78) and Heather Daviner (83-80-80) shot totals of 243 to tie for 79th place, while Abby McNeley tallied a three-round total of 248 (88-78-82) to finish in 88th and Gina Rodriguez was right behind her in 89th place after shooting a 249 (81-80-88).

 

Individually, Stephanie Sherlock of Denver shot a three-under par total of 213 to win the tournament, while Baylor's Hannah Burke was the only other player under par, shooting a three-day total of 215 for one-under.

 

Northern Colorado will be back in action on Oct. 1-2 at the Heather Farr Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by the University of Colorado.
