CHANDLER, Ariz. - Jenny Henderson and Kelley Newton tied for ninth-place at the 2007 Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, held at the Ocotillo Golf Resort, leading the Bears to a third-place finish in the nine-team event.

Northern Colorado finished with a team score of 952 (+88).

Newton fired a 79 (+7) to catch up to Henderson on Tuesday, with both finishing the three-round event at 235 (+19).

Henderson finished the tournament tied for the lead in birdies made, with seven, helping the Bears to a second-place finish in the category.

Regina Rodriguez finished two shots back of Henderson and Newton, using a team-best round of 78 on Tuesday to finish at 237 (+21). Heather Daviner finished at 246, while Shayna Godfrey carded a 255 for the tournament.

Northern Arizona won the event with a team score of 908 (+44), while the Lumberjacks' Ali Carter won individual honors with a five-over 221.
