Women's golf within striking distance in Hawai'i After two rounds of play at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Kane`ohe Klipper Golf Course, the Northern Colorado women's golf team sits in ninth out of 17 teams with a team score of 631, 28 strokes behind leader Nova Southeastern. Chelsea Silvers shot a 9-over-par 81 during the first round Monday but came back to shoot a 1-over 73 in the second round Monday afternoon and end the first day tied for 14th. September 23, 2009 Silvers sisters lead the way for women's golf in Denver Carleigh Silvers, a freshman from Martinsville, Ind., and Chelsea Silvers, a sophomore, shot identical 240 three-day totals during the tournament at Highlands Ranch Golf Club to finish tied for 47th overall. The Bears finished 12th as a team, coming in ahead of Big Sky-rival Montana State.
