BOZEMAN, Mont. - The change of venue midgame did nothing for the Northern Colorado women's basketball team against Montana State on Saturday evening.

The contest started at 7:05 in Worthington Arena, but less than five minutes later - at the first media timeout and with 15:37 on the clock - the officials noticed a drip from the ceiling onto the floor and the game was moved to Shroyer Gym where play resumed an hour and 15 minutes later.

The Bears (9-12, 2-6 Big Sky) were never able to find their rhythm in the smaller arena and lost their fourth straight game of the season, 75-54 to the Bobcats (10-11, 3-5 Big Sky).

Freshman forward Lauren Oosdyke showed she will be a force to be reckoned with over the next three years, scoring a career-best 24 points and tying for game honors with seven rebounds. She became the fourth different Bear this season to score 20 or more in a game, joining sophomore forward Kaisha Brown, senior guard Whitley Cox and junior guard Courtney Stoermer on the list.

Cox also added double figures in the scoring column with 10 points. Freshman guard Victoria Timm tied Oosdyke with seven boards. Stoermer held scoreless for the first time in her career but led the team with three assists, two steals and two blocked shots.

Montana State had four players in double figures in points, led by senior guard Erica Perry with 20 points. Rachel Semansky scored 15, Sarah Strand added 13 and Katie Bussey scored 12. Strand led the Bobcats with six rebounds and three blocks.

For the second straight night, the Bears struggled shooting the ball, connecting on just .368 from the floor and were just 1-for-10 from the three-point line. NC also shot just .500 (11-22) from the free throw line and were out-rebounded 41-37. Montana State connected on .475 from the field and .444 from beyond the arc (4-9) and shot just .682 from the free throw line (15-22).

Both teams turned the ball over 17 times and the Bears scored 17 off the Bobcat miscues, while MSU scored 13.

Oosdyke led the Bears with 10 points in the first half, while Perry led all players with 11. The Bobcats held a 22-13 advantage at the break on the glass, including seven offensive rebounds.

Northern Colorado steps out of Big Sky Conference play for the last time on Wednesday as they play at Denver. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:05. The Pioneers are 13-8 on the season and sport an 8-3 mark in Sun Belt play.
