Softball Hosts Alumni Game, Followed by Dinner and Auction

GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado softball program held its alumni day on Saturday, bringing together the Bears' current crop of players and former members of a program that is rich in history and tradition.

The day included a softball game at the Butler-Hancock Softball Field, which matched the current Bears' team with a team of former players. In the end, the current squad proved victorious, winning a hard-fought - and fun - battle, 5-3.

After the game, everyone involved in the afternoon headed inside to the Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion for dinner and an auction.

After the barbeque meal, provided by the Firehouse Restaurant in Windsor, participants of the evening took part in an auction that featured memorabilia for several of Colorado's professional sports teams, tickets to sporting events, spa packages, and several items from the University.
