North Central Conference Softball - North/South Tournament

The North Central Conference adopted a new NCC schedule for use beginning in the 2000 season. The league is split into North and South divisions. North division schools are: North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Minnesota State, Mankato and St. Cloud State. The South division is comprised of Augustana, South Dakota, Northern Colorado and Nebraska-Omaha.

Each team will play one scheduled doubleheader against the four other schools in their division with two at home and two away. All nine teams will gather for two North-South Tournaments which will feature each team playing a single- seven-inning game against each of the teams in the other division. No tournament champion will be awarded nor will their be any individual tournament honors bestowed. This year the first North-South Tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 12 & 13 at Island Grove Softball Fields in Greeley, Colo. The second tournament will be held at Southbrook Park in Brookings, S.D., on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 & 27.
