UNC Softball Closes Season With 4-0 Loss at Montana State-Billings
BILLINGS, Mont. -- The University of Northern Colorado completed its first season at the NCAA Division I level on Sunday with a 4-0 loss to Montana State-Billings at Cenex Stadium. The Bears finished the 2004 season with an overall record of 6-32.
Montana State-Billings dominated the season series with UNC as the Yellowjackets won all five contests, including four over the past two days.
The Yellowjackets Joey Ehnes stymied the Bears for almost the entire day as she tossed a complete-game two-hitter. Ehnes also struck out 12 UNC hitters in the season finale.
UNC's only offense came from a first-inning double by Stephani Miller and a sixth-inning single by Stephani Miller.
UNC starting pitcher Stacey Moon also worked a complete game but gave up eight hits, four runs (two earned), walked two and struck our four batters. Moon dropped to 1-11 on the season.
