Softball Squad Knocks Off East Stroudsburg, 3-1
The UNC softball squad earned its ninth victory of the season on Monday in Orlando, Fla., as the Bears take part in the Rebel Games.
UNC scored a 3-1 triumph over East Stroudsburg behind a four-hitter from sophomore Stacey Moon. Freshman Jana Pintz and junior Kim Kelly each tallied doubles for the Bears.
East Stroudsburg scored the first run of the contest in the second inning. But UNC scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Moon picked up the victory and improved to 5-1 on the year.
The Bears are now 9-4 on the season.
