Softball can't put it all together in losses at Oklahoma State
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Senior Kelli Henderson had a great day at the plate Friday during the first day of the Mizuno Classic at Oklahoma State, but the Bears' pitching, including Henderson's, wasn't as stellar in losses to Minnesota and Northern Iowa.
Henderson finished 4-for-6, with four singles, and Kacey Morgan, Erin Wilkinson, Megan Wilkinson and Erin Geddis scratched out one hit apiece in the Bears' 5-0 loss to the Gophers and 13-5 five-inning setback against the Panthers.
Northern Colorado struggled in the circle, allowing a .491 batting average in the two games, with 27 hits and five walks allowed in 11 innings.
Jamie Juelfs (0-7) got the start against Minnesota (12-8) and had a decent outing, allowing just three runs on seven hits in three innings. She then allowed three runs (two earned) in two innings against Northern Iowa (10-6).
Henderson (1-7) allowed six runs on seven hits against the Panthers after surrendering one run on one hit in three innings against the Gophers.
The Bears will take on the host Cowgirls (18-5) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (MT) before taking playing at either 3:30 p.m. (MT) or 6 p.m. (MT).
