Bears Take On UMKC, Colorado This Week

2006 Men's Tennis Statistics

GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado men's tennis team returns to action this weekend with duals against UMKC and Colorado.

The Bears (2-6) will host the UMKC Kangaroos at Work Out West in Greeley at 1 p.m. on Saturday. UMKC is 2-2 on the season and last played on Feb. 25 against Creighton in a 4-3 win.

On Sunday, Northern Colorado will head down to Boulder to face the No. 40-ranked Colorado Buffaloes. CU is 7-3 this season and will take on the BYU Cougars on Saturday before facing the Bears. The Buffaloes are led by Peter Bjork, who is 5-1 in duals this season.

Northern Colorado is coming off a 5-2 win over Mesa State on Saturday and a 7-0 loss to Montana on Sunday. The Bears are 1-1 at home this season and will be playing in their last home match until April 11.

Freshman Vinnie Fallico leads the Bears with a 3-4 dual record in No. 3 singles. Peter Weyhrich and Chris Minihan are 2-4 in No. 1 doubles, while Fallico and Paul Tschetter are also 2-4 in No. 2 doubles.
