Men's Tennis Falls 6-1 at IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Northern Colorado men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat at IPFW on Friday afternoon in the first match of a three-match road swing this weekend.
Northern Colorado (3-9) will play at IUPUI on Saturday (9 a.m.) and the University of Indianapolis on Sunday (9 a.m.) to close out the Hoosier State road trip.
IPFW (9-10) took the doubles point with a complete sweep of the competition with the closest match with Paul Tschetter and Vinnie Fallico falling 8-6.
Fallico bounced back in singles play, however, and scored a 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4) victory at No. 3 singles over Herman Kusche. Both Kollman Gearhart and Austin Nunn took their opponents to a third set, but both ended up losing, including Gearhart in a heartbreaking 7-6 (5) final set.
