Men's tennis can't get point off Dons, Gaels

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Northern Colorado men’s tennis team dropped spring-break matches last week to San Francisco (March 17) and Saint Mary's (March 18).

The Bears (2-18, 1-6) failed to win a single point in both matches and were swept 7-0.

Adam Perez (No. 2 singles) kept hist first set interesting against the Gaels' Maxime Olivan but ultimately fell 7-5, 6-2.

After being swept in the first set, NC’s Andy Green (No. 5) came back strong in the second set but couldn’t hold a crucial service game and was defeated by SMC’s Mike Luck, 6-0, 6-4.

In singles action against San Francisico, Calix van Lier (No. 1) was narrowly defeated by the Dons' Tommy Tu, 6-4, 7-5, and Clay Mundell (No. 2) kept it close against SF’s Mike Carreno but fell 6-4, 6-4.
