Men's Golf Finishes 9th at Food4Less Pacific Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif. - The University of Northern Colorado men's golf team finished ninth overall at the Food4Less Pacific Invitational which concluded on Wednesday at the Brookside Country Club.
The Bears combined for a final round score of 298 to finish at 878 (+14) for the event. BYU, who led from the start to finish of the tournament, was the team champion (-34), topping Charlotte by 11 strokes overall.
The Bears were led by senior Kyle Sullivan who had a final round 76 to finish 27th overall (+2). Senior Jon Stecher was just one stroke behind Sullivan in 31st place while sophomore Jordan Ensrud was 41st, two strokes behind Stecher. Junior Eric Higgins was 41st (+7) while junior Tom Gempel finished 53rd (+15).
BYU's Clay Ogden won the individual medalist title with a score of -12. He topped teammate Daniel Summerhays be a stroke.
Northern Colorado has now wrapped-up its fall season and will be off until March 19-20 when the team competes at the Western Intercollegiate in Santa Cruz, Calif.
