Men's Golf 11th After Day One of Pacific Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif. - The University of Northern Colorado men's golf team is in 11th place after the first of three rounds of the 2006 Food4Less Pacific Invitational being held at the Brookside Country Club.
The Bears combined for a respectable round of 296 (+8) on Monday but are 21 strokes behind leader BYU, who is one of the top teams in the country.
Individually sophomore Jordan Ensrud is in 26th place after an even par round of 72 on Monday. Senior Kyle Sullivan is one stroke behind Ensrud in 32nd place while Eric Higgins is two strokes behind Sullivan in 43rd place. Senior Jon Stecher is 52nd (+4) while Tom Gempel is 55th (+8).
BYU's Daniel Summerhays is the overall leader at -6.
The tournament continues with the second of three rounds on Tuesday while the final round to be play on Wednesday. Live scoring for the event can be accessed through links at UNCBears.com.
