Men's Golf Takes 19th at Cougar Classic

PROVO, Utah - The University of Northern Colorado men's golf team took 19th in the PING Cougar Classic this weekend, finishing with a 37-over par team score of 901 at the Riverside Country Club.

Eric Higgins led the Bears, placing 28th with a 1-over score of 217. Kyle Sullivan finished 53th with a 223, nine strokes better than Jonathan Stecher (232). Derek Hofmeister (233) and Kyle Burns (235) rounded out the Bears' scoring.

The host Cougars won the event with a team score of 832 (-32), and had the top two finishers in Daniel Summerhays (205) and Jake Ellison (206).
