Boshoven earns spot on America Sky All-Academic Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Northern Colorado senior golfer Ryan Boshoven was honored this week as a member of this year's America Sky Men's Golf Conference All-Academic Team.
Boshoven's selection is the second in as many years for Northern Colorado Men's Golf after junior Alberto Dell'Anna earned the same distinction last season. Boshoven completed his collegiate career this past season while notching a 3.5 grade-point average in pursuit of a Sport & Exercise Science degree.
To be eligible for the ASMGC All-Academic Team, student athletes needed at least a 3.2 GPA during the academic year. Thirty-one student-athletes were honored by the league this week, including Weber State's Nick Despain, who is the 2011 ASMGC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Boshoven, who's from Castle Rock and caddied last weekend for professional golfer Joanna Coe during the 2011 U.S. Women's Open in Colorado Springs, competed in all 11 events for Northern Colorado during the 2010-11 season.
His best finish came in mid-October, when he finished in a tie for 24th at the Weber State-Utah Purple and Red Invitational in Layton, Utah. He ended his career by tying for 29th at the ASMGC Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz.
