April 11, 2007
GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado men's and women's tennis teams will be hosting its fundraiser for the APASS club on Friday, April 20 at the Work Out West Tennis Center in Greeley.
APASS stands for Asian/Pacific American Student Services. Northern Colorado has its own chapter, and the tennis teams have organized a Pot Luck dinner to raise money for the club.
The will be a challenge court from 4-6 p.m. where guests can play tennis matches, including matches against current Northern Colorado student-athletes, with the dinner to follow.
"This is a great organization and good opportunity for our athletes to give back to the students," said Bears head coach Brenda Vlasak. "We hope this will become a tradition for our tennis teams, Work Out west and APASS."
