Men's Golf Signs Two

GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado announced the signing of National Letters of Intents in golf by two student-athletes today. Both students will be enrolled at Northern Colorado in the fall of 2008.

 

Kory Harrell - Colorado Springs, Colo. (Air Academy H.S.)

Harrell is a four year varsity letter for the Kadets and was captain during his senior year. He made 1st team all city in his freshman, junior and senior years and 2nd team all city his sophomore year. Harrell was the Metro League champion this year and was named Metro League Player of the Year. He also placed 5th in the 2007 5A state golf tournament.

 

Kevin Collignon - Las Vegas, Nevada (Bishop Gorman H.S.)

Collignon has played golf for 11 years and was a student at the International Junior Golf Academy. He placed in the top ten in nine out of 14 tournaments in the 2006-07 year including tying for 2nd in the International Junior Golf Tournament at Duke and placing 1st in the Southern Nevada Tournament of Champions.

 

"We are fortunate to be able to sign two really outstanding young players," said head coach Wally Goodwin. "Both have significant national competition experience. I look forward to being able to see their names in results from tournaments starting next fall
