Men's Golf Finishes 16th At Wolf Pack Classic

The University of Northern Colorado men's golf team today finished 16th at the Wolf Pack Classic in Reno, Nevada. The team shot a three-round total of 910 (310-297-303) on the par 72 course.

Freshman Stephen Bidne led the Bears by tying for 42nd place, shooting a 223 (79-71-73). Eric Higgins (80-75-76), Derek Hofmeister (76-73-82) and Kyle Burns (79-80-72) all tied for 74th place by shooting three-round totals of 231, while Ron Alford tallied a 243 (76-78-89) to place 99th.

Arizona won the tournament, posting a three-round total of 850 and the Wildcats also had the individual champion in Tyler Neal, who carded a 210 to win by one stroke over Air Force's Tom Whitney and Boise State's John Baranco.

The men's golf team next competes on Oct. 29-30 at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M., hosted by New Mexico State.
