1996: Started every game for the Bears as redshirt freshman and helped spark the Bears to the first of their two national titles ... ranked fourth on the squad in tackles (70) ... tallied eight tackles and a fumble recovery in the national title game (Dec. 14, 1996) ... posted 12 tackles in back-to-back games against Mesa State (Sept. 14, 1996) and North Dakota (Sept. 21). 1995: Redshirt season - named scout team defensive player of the year.
