1997: Assumed the starting cornerback position midway through his freshman season ... returned a Mankato State fumble 40 yards for a touchdown (Oct. 18, 1997), which ranks as the third longest fumble return in UNC history ... recorded 34 tackles (18 solos) ... ranked third on the team with three pass breakups ...also had one interception and one blocked kick.

1996: Redshirt season.

High School: A two-time all-South Central League selection at Sierra High School ... saw action at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and defensive back during his high school career ... also participated in track where he was a member of two state championship teams ...
