Has progressed into a solid punter for the Bears as his second-team All-Independent status in 2003 can attest ... able to pin teams deep with his coffin corner kicks ... ranks as the 9th-best punter in UNC's history (38.3 yards/punt).

2003: Had the 7th-best single-season punting average in UNC's history at 41.6 yards per punt ... nailed the third-longest punt in UNC's history with a 76-yarder at Florida Atlantic (Oct. 18) ... averaged over 41.0 yards per punt in eight contests.

2002: Set the UNC single-season record with 82 punts ... nailed 23 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line ... was named NCC Special Teams Player of the Week after drilling four punts inside the 20-yard line in the Bears' 28-12 win over North Dakota (Sept. 21) ... had 10 punts of 50+ yards ... booted a season-high 65-yard punt in the Bears' 23-12 quarterfinal playoff win at NW Missouri State (Nov. 30).

2001: Scored 49 points to rank third on the team as a true freshman ... made 8-of-11 field goals from inside 30 yards ... booted a career-high 67 yard punt against St. Cloud State (Oct. 6) ... had five punts of over 50 yards ... downed 10 punts inside the 20.

High School: Named second team all-state by the Rocky Mountain News and honorable mention all-state by the Denver Post ... also a first team all-conference pick ... ranked among the state leaders (class 5A) in field goals with 14 as a senior. High school coach: Dan Gallas.
