2008: Was a member of the scout team.

High School: Spent two years at Colorado State but did not play football... Earned First-Team all-state honors... As a senior had 45 catches for 929 yards and seven touchdowns... Also had 47 tackles and four interceptions as a safety... Earned Second-Team all-state honors as a junior... Also competed track & field and basketball.

Personal: Parents are John and Jeanie McDonnell... Is the oldest child with a younger brother Andy and a sister Marie... Is majoring in business administration.
