2008: Played in seven games before suffering a season-ending injury... Tallied 20 tackles, including 13 solo stops... Had a season-best four tackles against both Texas State and Weber State... Blocked UC Davis' first punt of the game.

2007: Was an honorable mention All-Big Sky selection on special teams... Played in all 12 games for the Bears recording 26 tackles... Had a career-best five tackles against Portland State... Forced a fumble at Northern Arizona and returned one punt at Idaho State.



2006: Saw action in six games for the Bears, recording two tackles... Had his first career tackle at Sacramento State on Oct. 26.

High School: All-purpose player for Lakewood... Finished No. 7 in the state in both receiving and tackles... Earned First-Team All-State (Class 4A) honors from the Rocky Mountain News as a kick returner... Netted 128 rushing yards, 684 receiving yards and 90 passing yards during his senior season.

Personal: Son of Reed and Cheryl Lutz... Earned his bachelor's degree with a double major in journalism and communication studies and is now working on a masters degree in communication.
